Hello there!
Quite honestly, I do not exactly recall the point in time when I decided that I wanted to tell stories professionally. It is also because I was always doing it - as a student writer for school and college annuals, as a piano player for local fundraiser plays, as a Computer Science graduate with a job offer in hand who decided that he wanted to trade it all... to be a storyteller.

For me, there was never any preferred medium. It was important to experiment with every platform and truly understand how different yet effective they each are as communication channels.
I had the opportunity to work in radio, where I scripted and produced spots, ads and jingles; voiced show segments; interviewed music geniuses, and pitched ad ideas to clients. I then moved on to television, where I researched and served as assistant producer for two lifestyle shows. And because I love being around young people, I also chose to teach Media Studies part-time to university students.
However, for the larger part of my career so far, I have found solace in words - particularly using them to tell stories that would create a common understanding among different cultures and faiths, and throw light on often-overlooked issues such as those affecting the LGBT community and persons with disabilities internationally.
My move from India, my native country, to Canada, my new home in 2018 has been a life-changing experience for me, professionally as well. It has given me a greater understanding of multiculturalism and only enhanced how I could use storytelling as a tool to promote the same. I have also met some wonderful people from the industry who share the same values that I believe in - such as the need to respect all cultures, communities and faiths, and the importance of being a sensitive storyteller.
